The following is an outline of the most successful service completed between 1980 and 2015.

GARDEN OF EDEN AND LUCAS, KS  1987-2017
Negotiated the purchase and formed a corporation to care for this historic site by serving as president of the corporation and as director of the museum, both unpaid positions.  Negotiated the sale to the Koehler Foundation, which included a major renovation agreement, and subsequent transfer of deed to a non-profit I formed, Friends of S. P. Dinsmoor’s Garden of Eden.  In addition, negotiated with the Koehler Foundation to purchase, return to Lucas, and restore another grassroots site, Miller’s Park.

GRASSROOTS ART CENTER, LUCAS, KS 1990-94
 Helped conceive and develop an economic diversification plan for Lucas by creating an art center and recruiting artists to move to the community.

ARTS INCUBATOR OF KANSAS CITY, CROSSROADS ART DISTRICT   2001-08
Served as Director of Professional Development for 7 years.  This organization served the cultural community in Kansas and Missouri.

ACCESSIBLE ARTS, KANSAS SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND, Kansas City, KS 2010-12
Helped create an art program designed to enhance cognitive and motor skills in sight impaired children.  (Funding was lost in 2012)

LAWRENCE CREATES MAKER SPACE, LAWRENCE KS 2009-2015
Founder, Consultant, and former Board member of organization promoting sustainable innovative practice and cultural development in Eastern Kansas.

LAWRENCE CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION, LAWRENCE, KS 2012-17
Commission member, Downtown Sculpture Exhibition (chair), Community Grants review, Cultural Arts Director search, Arts and Cultural Plan development, Cultural Arts Consultant search, East 9th Street Artwork Commission.

 LAWRENCE PUBLIC LIBRARY, Public Art Committee 2013-14
Committee reviewed and selected artwork purchased through the city’s Percent for Art program.

313 STUDIOS and BEACON STUDIOS, LAWRENCE, KS 2012-17
Purchased commercial buildings and converted them into low-cost art studios to help local artists develop financially successful practices.

INGE MEMORIAL, INDEPENDENCE, KS 2012-14
Advisor to Tim Emert, then Kansas Board of Regents member, on the creation of a major series of bronze sculptures commemorating William Inge.  Recruited four Kansas artists to create artwork, including three University of Kansas alumni.

JUDGE, ART EXHIBITIONS IN KANSAS 1980-2015, most recent being the Salina Downtown Sculpture Exhibition.
Served as judge for numerous art exhibitions in schools and communities across Kansas.
